My opinion:
I got the opportunity to try out these Silicon Devices Wireless Bluetooth Headphones.
I was intrigued by the idea of being able to listen to my music or shows without being tied to my device. The only thing I was worried about was the fit, because usually earbuds don't really fit into my small ears comfortably.
I really like that these came in a zippered carrying case. It even has a mesh pocket inside to store your various sized earbuds, stabilizers and charging cable. The little pieces are so easy to lose, so it's nice to be able to keep them in this case.
They have a fun neon green and black design that is very sporty looking. They are fairly lightweight, which is great for exercising. Much lighter than wearing a pair of headband style headphones.
To charge, it's as simple as plugging the micro-usb end into the Silicon Device and the other end into either your computer USB port or USB wall adapter.
They are very easy to connect to bluetooth. On the one side, you will find a multi-function button. Just hold that down and you will see the LED light flashing. Scan your phone, tablet, or other device for it. I use a BLU Studio Energy phone and it showed up as Silicon for me.
Getting a good fit took a bit of trial and error with the different sized earbuds and stabilizers for me to be comfortable with them. This is the most important step, because if you don't get a good fit with them, it can hurt your ears after a while. Now that I have them where I like them, I can watch shows from my phone, workout at the gym and listen to music for a longer period of time without any difficulty.
They work up to 30 feet away and that is no joke. That really is for open areas and doesn't work as well through walls. When I try to keep the phone in the bedroom, for instance, it starts to fade out when I go into other rooms of the house. We have an open floor plan for the main area of our house and it works great from one end to the other. It also has a long reach with the open area of the gym and outside.
To control them, you can pull up your playlist, answer incoming calls, and power on/off with the multifunctional button. To change the volume up / down and to move to next / previous song track, there are plus and minus buttons along the edge of the same side that has the multifunctional button. I rarely talk on the phone, but I did try it out while wearing these and both sides of the conversation were clear.
Overall, I am really pleased with these wireless headphones. I like using them at the gym more than anything else. The only downside I saw, was the time it took me to get a level of comfort with the positioning, etc. They work great for me and stay in place while I am exercising and have vigorous movement.
