1 Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review

When you think of Rubbermaid, you think of convenient storage. I've got Rubbermaid brand all throughout my house helping to organize my kitchen with containers, bins for my clothing, and even helping me organize my closet. The brand Rubbermaid is positively enforced in my mind, because of how well it's treated me over the years. Now they have done it again. Rubbermaid brings us the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler to help us with our recycling needs.

We are in a pretty rural area and don't have curbside recycling. They way I've been doing it is tossing everything into a plastic bag that sits on the floor by the garbage can. Now that I've tried the Hidden Recycler, I've found it much more convenient, not to mention discreet.

It's designed to hook onto the inside of the cabinet door. The outside of the bag is cloth material while the inside the bag is a slick material that is easy to cleanup. When it gets full, you simply lift the lid, and use the handle to lift it up. There's even a convenient handle on the back of the bag, so you can carry it by the handle with one hand and grip the cloth handle with the other in order to dump out your recycling.

We aren't as diligent as we could be with our recycling, sometimes just out of convenience. We have to drive our recycling to the recycling center because they don't offer curbside here yet. Right now, I've got a garbage bag with aluminum cans sitting by my garbage can waiting to be recycled. I'd love to get a couple more of these and dedicate them each to a specific material. As they fill up, I can take them to a bigger bag out in the utility room where it is out of sight.

I chose the cabinet nearest my sink, so I can rinse out the containers, and just toss them into the hidden recycler. It is very convenient and because of the click inside material, I can just grab a clorox wipe and clean it out when I dump it.
