I've recently discovered Raintees. They sell a line of shirts on their site that have beautiful artwork and are 100% organic. Their slogan: Saving Trees with Tees. What I found amazing and made me fall even more in love with their shirts is that the art is from children!

We donate school supplies to the children and ask them to illustrate what they see happening in their world every day. Each Rain Tee features their thoughts, illustrations and names, and for every item sold a child involved in the non-profit Kids Saving the Rain Forest receives a tree they can plant to replace one that has been destroyed.

 That's fantastic. Just look at some of their creations. They are in sizes for women and children. My personal favorite is the Tree of Life.  It's just beautiful.

 

 

They use the proceeds to donate to saving the rain forest. Each tee bought plants a new tree. Also, each child who's art is chosen for the tees is sponsored by Raintees and gets to attend school in their country.

What a great company doing great things for our environment. I love how we are becoming more earth friendly and companies like it are so important in that effort. We are not only educating ourselves about ways to help the earth but it's important to teach the kids too. You could get your children involved also and get them a tee. Make sure you explain it to them the story behind it. I know my kids think that it is such a cool idea that the designs are from children. Now they want one and so do I.
