Power banks are so convenient. They allow you to charge on-the-go , so you aren't tethered to a wall, charging your phone. I've had a few smaller ones, but this Key Power charger has a lot of juice and can charge multiple times.
Out of the box, you get the power bank, USB to micro-USB charging cord, USB LED light and instructions.
To charge up the power bank, you use the included charging cord and any USB outlet to start charging. The cord is only about 6 inches long, so if you want a longer cord, you can swap it out. The short length is perfect for setting it on the floor at the base of your PC while it charges. As it charges, you will see flashing blue lights near the ports...they will flash in turn until all the bars are lit solid. Then you have a full charge of 12000 mAh. That is a lot of charge. I have a super powered battery in my phone (5000) and I put it to the test. I was able to get 2 full charges out of it and there was still juice left in it. That's impressive.
To look at, the power bank is very sleek. It has an aluminum casing. All the sides are flat, so it stays in whatever position you place it, no rolling around or off edges of tables. You have two ports for output, so you can actually charge two devices at the same time. One is 2.1A and the other is 1A. They are not marked though, so you have to check the manual to see which one's which. It is rather heavy, compared to those little round ones that only charge 2200, but that is to be expected as it charges 12000mAh. You can turn it on quickly, simply by giving it a shake. It has shake-to-wake technology. There are no buttons to press at all. It does not shake to turn off though. It just goes off on it's own after a certain amount of time.
Included is a handy USB powered LED light. You can pair this with your power bank to have light on-the-go. I actually like it as a light to put by my laptop, so it illuminates the keyboard. It is also great for reading in the car. You can charge your phone with one port and have the LED light in the other port.
I received this power bank in exchange for my honest opinion. Overall, I am impressed by this power bank. It does everything advertised and I am very pleased with it's performance. It's capacity is higher than any other power bank I've owned, so I have been using it as my primary charging unit.
