Right out of the package, I noticed how attractive this scale is. It is silver with a glass overlay. It has a little bit of weight to it, and is made of sturdy construction. It is said to handle up to 440 lbs. Thank goodness I am not close to putting that to the test. It's very stylish and would look great in any bathroom decor.
Using the scale is pretty simple. Put the batteries in it, set it down on the floor and step on it. Your weight will show up in blue.
Here is where the magic happens......the Smart Weigh Scale recognizes you (by your weight) and the next time you step on the scale, it will display weight gain in red and weight loss in green.
Without getting all techy,basically, if you step on the scale and weigh 140 lbs and step on it the next day weighing 142 lbs, it will recognize that you are the one stepping on it because you are within 4.4 lbs of the weight before which was 140 lbs.
If you are more than 4.4 lbs different than the last time you stepped on the scale, it will show as if you are a new user. There is a way to manually assign yourself to a user number, with some tapping once you are on the green or red screens but I will let you read more into the techy stuff in the manual on that.
My hubby and I are clearly more than 4.4 lbs apart, so the scale has no problems keeping us separate.
You can change it between lbs, kg, and st;lb by pressing the button at the bottom of the scale by the battery window.
It's surprisingly refreshing to step on the scale and it show up green and it even shows you the amount of weight that you are different from the last time you stepped on it. If you are in the red, it makes you want to work that much harder to get it green again.
