I grew up in a family of mechanics in my family. My brother, my dad, his dad, etc. It goes on and on. Of course, I was taught the basics of maintenance and car care. Basics, that's about as far as my skills go, but I do know the importance of tire pressure. Check it often, or you will end up needlessly stuck on the side of the road with a tire problem. It can also effect your gas mileage. You'd think that would mean that I would own a tire pressure gauge and the sad fact is that until this product, I had never owned one myself. I go to the closest gas station and check it at the air pump.
I was thrilled to review the Federico's mechanical tire gauge. Now I can check my tire pressure whenever I want without having to take a trip to the gas station. The design is very cool looking. It has a display that is very easy to read.  It fits nicely in your hand, and has grooves around which makes it easy to grip.  It has a swivel that turns 360 degrees, so it can easily be turned for viewing. I like that the reading stays displayed after you pull it away from the tire. To reset it, you just press the release valve on the side. When I checked the tires on my SUV, they read at around 23 psi which is not enough. I'm glad that I was able to check it and went to air up my tires.
I am pleased with it and found a nice home for it in the trunk of my car.
