I am a mother of two and a pet owner. I am in constant fear of my house burning down every time I light a candle. I almost feel like I need to babysit it so that no one accidentally knocks it over or the cat gets curious and I-don't-even-want-to-think-about-it.
I've seen the technology of LED candles for years and never tried them. Recently I got the opportunity to try out these LED flickering tea lights and they are amazing. They are the size of your standard tea light but are made of plastic and the light is coming from LED instead of flame. This is so much safer. The lights flicker too, which is so adorable. At first I thought that something was wrong, until I realized they flicker like a real life candle does. It has a very cool effect if you put several of them in a dark room. Very romantic.
Right now I am using them around my house for decoration, but there is all kinds of stuff you can use it for. Adorn tables for parties, weddings, family holidays, put in your pumpkin at Halloween.
It seems like such a basic thing, to get excited about, but it really is great having these and I don't have the fear. You also don't have to worry about anyone getting burned and because they are energy efficient, they leave no carbon footprint.
