0 Smirnoff Sorbet Light Vodka Review

First of all, I know it goes without saying, but alcoholic drinks should only be consumed by those of the legal limit of 21 and always drink responsible. Drunk Drivers Kill People! With that being said, please read further about these awesome new drinks.
When you plan your next celebration, consider making mixed drinks. I have discovered Smirnoff's Sorbet Light line that only have 78 calories per 1.5 oz serving. Typically in the past, when having get-togethers, people bring their own beer and we also serve mixed drinks based on whatever we have available in the house. I had never considered actually buying flavored alcohol to compliment recipes before hand.

I got the pleasure of trying out Smirnoff's new Sorbet Light drinks and we had so much fun making the recipes with them. It was the highlight of the day. Between people's reactions and the laughs that we had while making the drinks. I got to try out the 3 different flavors: Lemon, Mango Passion Fruit, and Raspberry pomegranate. In addition to those yummy 3, I also tried out the Root Beer Float.

Let me just tell you how awesome these drinks turned out. Being that the alcohol is already flavored, it adds a whole new dimension to the drinks. I pulled some recipes right off of the Smirnoff website and we concocted a few of our own.
Here are the four bottles that I tried out.
With the Raspberry Pomegranate, we made a drink that involved cranberry juice, ginger ale and vodka. This was one of my favorites.
With the Mango Passion Fruit, we used coconut water, pineapple juice and vodka. This one had a tropical feel to it with the pineapple juice and also very good.

The Lemon was the most interesting to make a drink from. I found the lemon flavor to be so strong, it was difficult to find the right combination to tone down the lemon flavor. The pic above where we used lime juice with it was a no-go. Between the lemon and lime, it was a little much. I found that between the cranberry apple juice, coconut water and lemon vodka, it worked really well.
This was hands-down the favorite by all. We used the entire bottle. The Root Beer Float vodka is so yummy, it's good by itself as a shot. My favorite is mixing it with cream soda. Yum-O. This one is one of those drinks that will sneak up on you. It's so tasty, you don't realize you are even drinking alcohol.

Here is my mother and I enjoying our drinks. After the first couple, she just wanted me to surprise her on mixing her a drink. That is when we started getting creative. I am so pleased to have tried out the new Smirnoff vodkas. I am on a weight loss - get healthy kick now, especially while training for a 5K and LOVE that the Sorbet Lights have lower calories. I will definitely be getting these again and maybe trying other flavors and recipes for our next get-together.
