0 Ozeri Digital Scale Review

I've recently been on a "get healthy" kick after gaining about 20 more pounds. That is also causing me to be a scale addict. I can't help it, but am compelled to step on the scale each time I go to the bathroom. That also makes you realize how cruddy your current scale is.
Just as I was hoping to get a new scale in the future, this opportunity came along for me to review Ozeri's Microban scale. Couldn't have happened at a better time.

A little about the scale from the sponsor:
Ozeri, a specialty manufacturer of digital lifestyle products, is proud to be the first manufacturer of bath scales to champion Microban® antimicrobial technology that inhibits the growth of odor and stain-causing bacteria. Infused at the point of manufacturing, Microban® antimicrobial protection works for the lifetime of the product to disrupt the growth of bacteria and helps maintain surface cleanliness. On an unprotected bathroom scale surface, bacteria can double in number every twenty minutes with frequent skin contact and exposure to moisture, which is often the case with typical bath scale usage. And only when they've multiplied to hundreds of thousands, can the bacteria be seen by the naked eye. With Ozeri WeightMaster Bath Scale, Microban® protection begins to work immediately, disrupting key bacterial cell functions so that the bacteria are unable to grow or reproduce on the surface. The WeightMaster Bath Scale by Ozeri is the first bathroom scale to combine an elegant design, Microban's antimicrobial solution and advanced weight measurement technology. The Ozeri WeightMaster uses 4 of the latest generation G sensors to accurately capture weights in increments of 0.2 pounds or 0.1 kilograms. The Ozeri WeightMaster features the industry's largest blue-backlit LCD with xBright technology for easy-to-read results from afar, and utilizes ultra ABS slip-resistant material on the outside with impact-resistant tempered glass on the inside. Whether your goals are weight loss or muscle gain, the Ozeri WeightMaster Bath Scale features the latestgeneration of StepOn technology to display your body weight upon stepping onto the scale, with no tapping required. It also turns off automatically to conserve battery power, and runs on 2 AAA batteries (included). Your Satisfaction is 100% Guaranteed.
  • Product Dimensions: 13.5 x 1 x 14 inches ; 4.7 pounds
  • Shipping Weight: 7 pounds
And my own experience with it: Before even trying it, I loved what I was reading about the product. A big highlight for me is actually the blue LCD backlighting. The numbers are really easy to see and fairly large. With the backlighting, there can be no denying what the readout is. (Even if sometimes I wish I am just reading it wrong and the number is way lower)
The main selling point for this is the Microban technology. I really have never considered the fact that as dirty as our feet get, I really have never paid that much attention to the scale as far as cleaning goes or just how much bacteria a scale can build up. The awesome thing about this scale is that it is designed to actually inhibit the bacteria, helping it stay clean.
It does include batteries folks. I didn't realize that, when taking it out of the packaging and searched my whole house for two tiny AAA batteries, just to discover that there is some taped to it in the packaging.
My last point to make and is a grave improvement from my previous scale is that you don't have to tap it first, wait and step on. With this Ozeri scale, all you have to do is step on and it lights up with your weight. Takes a couple secs but voila, no work required. I can't tell you how frustrated I've gotten with my previous scale tapping over and over trying to get the zero to pop up. This one is hands down better.

I can't say enough good things about this scale. It really is everything I need and more. Priced at under $30 is very reasonable and you can find it on Amazon. (Free shipping for those on Prime)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
