0 Borax Review and Giveaway Ends 02-01

Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: a naturally occurring substance produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.
20 Mule Team® Borax is 100% natural, and 99.5% pure (there is about a half of 1% of naturally occurring trace minerals). Once removed from the ground it is washed, dried, and boxed for consumers.
Borates, borax and boron compounds are with us throughout our lives. Families use it to soak and wash diapers and other laundry, but it’s also an ingredient in cosmetics, medicines, ceramics and building materials.
Absolutely nothing is added. No phosphates, per-oxside, chlorine, or other additive chemicals.
Borax can be used as a laundry booster because of it's effects on hard water. Over 85% of our homes have hard water. It's water that contains calcium and magnesium (ions), What happens with hard water, are those compounds actually attached to your detergent that will sit at the bottom of your washer and go down the drain without even cleaning your laundry. (I've just learned this and am intrigued)
Borax softens the hard water so that your detergent can do the work it's supposed to do.

It's simple to use Borax to boost your laundry. Just add 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax to every load along with your regular detergent.
I've been doing this for years and have found that it helps clean clothes and lessens the amount of stains that I find on my clothes. I personally use it in conjunction with Purex laundry soap and works great.
I've recently discovered that there are many other uses for Borax. You can use it as a cleaning agent, deodorizer or even more interesting uses such as treating homemade candle wicks, making green slime, and even growing crystals. (This I will definitely be trying with the kids)
