0 Tropical Traditions - Oxygen Bleach Review and Giveaway Ends 03-04

Tropical Traditions has blown me away with another product to try. Even though the main thing they sell are coconut oil based products, they have so much more. I've had the pleasure of reviewing their  Coconut oil, Flaxseed and now their Oxygen Bleach.

"Tropical Traditions Oxygen Bleach is a safe and effective alternative to chlorine based products and it can be used in many applications in and around the home. It is based on sodium percarbonate which uses oxygen for destaining and deodorizing. Oxygen Bleach is safe to use at all temperatures, on most washable fabrics, and all colors, in hard or soft water, and is compatible with other household cleaners. Also, it produces no harmful by-products which negatively affect the environment. Unlike chlorine bleach, which can merely cover up a stain, Tropical Traditions Oxygen Bleach attacks and breaks down organic stains to totally remove them from the garment. "
Oxygen Bleach - 6 lbs. When I first got the package, I wasn't expecting it to be so heavy. You get 6 pounds of Oxygen Bleach! It comes in a plastic container and the product itself is a powder. I was so excited to try it and dug out a couple shirts that I've stopped wearing because of stains or smells that I can never seem to wash out. This product works great as a soak. I tossed the clothes into a bucket with a gallon of water and tossed in 2 scoops and let it sit overnight. The next day I washed them in the washer and was amazed at the results. I tried to get a picture but something is wrong with my camera and I couldn't seem to get it into focus. (Hopefully I will get a camera for Valentines Day....I'm dropping hints pretty often) I am most excited about it's performance with a red shirt of mine that had armpit stains. I used to wear it to work on our dress-down fridays but started to notice armpit stains. I tried every cleaner I could think of and nothing touched the stains. Needless to say, I stopped wearing the shirt. I soaked it in the Oxygen bleach, washed it, and it came out amazingly with no stains - at all! After drying, I checked it again, and still no stains. I am beyond amazed at how well it did. I had a couple other shirts that had similar stains but not as bad, and it had such positive results and got rid of all of the problem stains. There is a black shirt that I wear underneath my uniform at work. I don't know if it's because I wear it so often, or it got left wet in the washer too long, but it had a slight stench to it that I couldn't get rid of through normal washing. I even tried spraying it with cleaners in the past...nothing worked. After using the Oxygen Bleach with it, the shirt smells great! The only shirt that it didn't perform well on is a tee that I have a round stain right in the front. I think it might be grease from cooking but really don't know for sure. That's the only shirt that didn't come out sparkling.
I am so pleased with this product. It got stains out of clothes that I couldn't get out with other cleaners that I've tried. With 6 pounds of it, it will last my a long time. I'm going to use it for my trouble clothes and toss some in when I wash my sheets and blankets.

One lucky Reader will win their own Oxygen Bleach (6 lbs)
