My thoughts
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinions. Unfortunately, mine isn't the greatest for this product. I am frustrated writing this review because I really wanted to like this product. The placement on your bicycle is perfect and convenient, however the functionality is under par.
Each side has a zippered pouch and the zippers are extremely difficult to use...and now just a difficult that you gotta break in. They can barely move over the cornered edges of the pouch. The size of the pockets are nice though...well big enough for phone, keys, snacks.
The main selling point for me on this whole bike kit is the phone holder. In concept, it's amazing....my phone can still be functional and not get wet if it starts to rain while biking. They just didn't deliver though. Again with the zippers, they are really cheap. The way that the zipper is designed, it runs along one side only, and you have to start it, like zipping up a zippered hoodie. You have to latch it on, shove it in, and zip it up. It's almost impossible with a phone in there.
My phone has a 5 inch screen and does fit inside the pouch, but very snugly. The volume up and down button kept getting pressed as I was fighting with the zipper and there is no access to fix that issue once secure in it's spot. You have to unzip, unvelcro and take out phone to adjust or use buttons on the side. The top cover is a clear pvc material and touch capable, so if you get it into position, you can still use your phone. Being that you can't use any of your buttons, once your phone goes into sleep mode, it is difficult to wake. Mine has a double tap feature and that takes quite a few taps to activate through the pvc material.
The rest of the bike kit is kind of an afterthought. You get some reflective tape, which I do find really useful. The light is cool, but you have to bring your own batteries....4 AAA batteries. The backlight also takes batteries, not include. 2 AAA batteries for that.
I urge the company to rework the zippers and this may be a nice, quality bike bag set but as it stands, I am dissappointed.
