1 Treqkr50 Promotion
Info from the company:
The Treqkr50 is an advanced power bank that allows you to live your life with more freedom. Never worry again about running out of power for your devices Treqkr50, once charged, gives you that peace of mind.
BUILT-IN 5000mAh Lithium Polymer battery. This portable charger can be charged either via a USB connection ( for example from a computer) or via the built in solar panel. The powerful 1.5A output charges your devices at high speed. The built-in electronics prevent overcharging and ensure reliable operation. The Treqkr50 solar phone charger will handle more than 1000 recharge cycles over the life of the battery.ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY:
The solar charger uses the power of the sun to recharge itself - wherever and whenever there is enough sunlight to generate electricity. The limited surface area of the solar panel means it is comparatively slow to recharge itself via solar power alone.
My thoughts:
This type of charger works great for outings or travel more than everyday use. The charging is slow, especially if relying on solar power. I wasn't expecting it to be quick but it will do for a situation where you are camping or outdoors without access to a power outlet.
It's about the same width and depth as my phone in it's case so it's comfortable to hold. The design is attractive and doesn't have a cheap feel to it at all.
The cord and accessories are unique to this product. The cord has a socket that each of the differnt plugs fit into. The only one that I need to use from the lot is the micro-USB but it is nice to have the options of the others, especially if in an emergency situation away from power. I did not have any issues at all with the cord not working, like other reviewers did. Mine works just fine and isn't damaged at all.
The power bank turns on with a little button at the end. When it's fully charged, you should see 4 lights in blue. You can treat this as a regular power bank and charge it up by USB or outlet power. If you choose to charge it by solar power, that is an option but it does take much longer. Very cool concept but really the solar power option is really best for when you are spending the day or longer away from your power sources. The power bank holds 5000 mAh, and my phone(BLU studio energy) has the same size battery. I only used this to charge my phone in increments of my phone being at 20 percent or so, but it is able to charge my phone to full from that point with no problem. (I just don't have it in me to let my phone get that low, even with knowing I have a power bank as a backup, if I can help it)
Bottom line, this power bank works as expected. It is on the slow side, but you get the cool function of solar power charging. That is a feature that I love. In concept, I would love to keep it in my car and solar power charge during the day, but with FL heat, I wouldn't have this out in that heat. It would probably ruin the battery. I do, however put it in the window sill at the front of our house and that seems to work out great with lots of sun access.
