Color me impressed.
I've owned other flat irons and I have to say that this one is exceptional compared to all others I've tried.
My daughter and I both have wavy hair. Even when you try blow drying wavy hair straight, you just end up with slightly less wavy and now frizzy hair. I was so excited to give the iSA professional hair straightener a try.
It has a super long cord that has a swivel function on the straightener, so you want get the cord wound up while moving around. After plugging it in, you press the power button. It will beep and power on, lighting up the digital display. The display shows the temperature readout and it starts climbing immediately. It goes up to 450 degrees in a matter of seconds. I was straightening my hair within a minute of plugging this thing in.
The controls are a power button and up and down buttons. It will automatically go up to 450 degrees unless you lower the temp yourself. To do that you use the arrow button to the temp you want. To lock it in you just double press the power button and it's locked in. Same to unlock it. You will see a little key symbol indicating if it's locked or not.
I'm not a fan of the button placement but as long as I have the temp locked, it's manageable. I accidentally press the buttons constantly and they do make a beep but as long as you don't double press the power button to unlock it, pressing the buttons won't change any of your settings.
The ceramic plates heat quickly and do a fantastic job straightening my hair. Now my hair is just wavy and I don't know if that makes a difference, but it only took a couple passes to achieve a completely straight effect on my hair for each section. I tried with my daughter and it took just a little bit longer for her as she has thicker hair.
