My take on it:
I am crazy for coffee, so it's just fitting that I give CoffeeCrazy a try. I've had a couple blends of their coffee now, and I have to say that the french roast is my favorite among them.
Anticipation: I usually go for french roast when choosing coffee. I like the darker blends that have rich flavor.
Smell / First impression: As soon as you open the package, the aroma hits you. It's very strong and smells amazing. The beans are the darkest of the 3 flavors I tried. After smelling it, I am expecting a strong coffee.
Taste: I have brewed this now in my drip coffee pot and in a french press. I like french press for fresh coffee I am going to drink right away but use the drip coffee pot for coffee that I will use for iced coffee later. The flavor did not dissapoint. It was actually stronger than I'd thought it would be, but the flavor is so rich and yummy. I only add a little bit of cream for taste and color and no sugar at all.
I am sold on this french roast. I like that it comes in whole bean, so I can grind it fresh when I make it. That just adds to the amazing fresh flavor. Freshly ground coffee made in a french press is so much better than the loose coffee I get from the store.
