My take on it:
This flashlight is awesome!
It acts as 2 flashlights in one. You can use it as a point-straight-forward flashlight or as a lantern style light.
There are LED lights providing amazing bright light either way you go. You have 5 LED lights that shown forward as you hold it like a flashlight. The lights built into the body of the flashlight are a little different than other LED flashlights I've used. This is because it has COB technology. (chip on board) It allows you to produce the output of 150 lumens with COB lighting, taking up much less energy than the equivalent of 36 LED lights would take. This will allow this light to last for 100,000 plus hours.
The light is powered by 3 AAA batteries that are actually included. That is a huge plus, especially if you are gifting.
The stand rotates to provide you with many angles to position the light into. This makes it great for the shop or to work hands-free. The base has 2 very strong magnets that you can put against a car or the underside of the hood. You can also hang it from a hook that nests into the back of the light. It's very versatile how you can use and position it.
I am incredibly impressed by this light. I have been using it just about every day for one thing or another. Today I used it to check under the bed to find the cat, of all things. Point is, whatever you may be needing to use it for, it's so nice to keep handy. I'd also recommend having a light like this in your car for emergencies.
