Right out of the package, I noticed how incredibly soft this towel is. It's microfiber, which is super-absorbent. I have always used a separate towel for my hair, then my body. Mainly, because I don't want my hair to drip while I'm drying myself off. With a typical terry cloth towel, getting your hair dry either consists of readjusting the towel or rubbing the towel back and forth on your hair to get the rest of the moisture out.
With this microfiber towel, it's so absorbent, I put it on my head first thing, while using another towel to dry off, and dress normally. By the time I am done getting dressed and take the microfiber towel off, my hair is only damp. Blow drying to style it is super-quick at that point and only takes me about 5 minutes. My hair is a little longer than my shoulders.
The size can be a plus or a minus. When I twist it up and go to tuck the corner into the back, there is only a little bit of the corner available there to tuck. That's not quite as large as my other towels. At the same time, because of the size, combined with the fact that it's microfiber, it is very light. I like that I'm not weighed down as I continue to dress or get ready. I'm sure you can all relate to that moment when you have a big bulky towel on your head, and bend down to pick something up, only to have the towel fall off. Grrr.
I'm pleased with this towel. I think they got the dimensions and fabric just right for this being presented as a hair towel. I'm enjoying having this as a part of my routine.
