4 Dash Mate / Cell Phone Vent mount Holder Review + Giveaway

I'd like to introduce to you the Dash Mate cell phone vent mount holder. It holds your phone securely in a convenient place in your car - at the vent. Most vehicles have vents, so this will work great whether you drive a car, truck, suv, etc.

This product is as simple as it can get but so clever because it does the job as well as the more expensive and more complicated models that use suction, magnets, sticky tape, etc. The back has a clip that pushes onto the vent. It is wide enough to hold it firmly without damaging the product or the vent. You can put it on and remove it easily with very little effort, however it stays put while driving down the bumpiest roads. The part that actually holds the cell phone has spring-action with your phone being held in place by the tension of the springs. The springs can stretch, even for those big phones. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3, pictured with Otterbox case and it fits great. With this being on the vent, it frees your window up so nothing is in the way of your driving view. 

A plus or a minus you could take into account is that because it's on the vent, it is getting a direct hit of the air that you are pushing out. When the cool air is blowing out, it actually helps the phone keep cool, which actually helps on the battery drain also. When the warm air is blowing, it might not be a good idea to have the heat blasting onto your phone. What I would recommend for the heat, is to put the phone on a side vent that has a control to turn the fan off from that vent while using the heat. 

You can even use this for your GPS, given that it is about the size of a cell phone. When you aren't using it, the device is small enough to store easily or even fit in your pocket while travelling. If you are a family that has multiple vehicles, it can easily be swapped back and forth between them.
