Info from the company:
Power Theory® Credit Card-Sized 2500mAh Portable Charger External Battery Pack with built-in USB & Apple® Lightning Cable. The PowerCard is a Lightweight Backup Phone Power Bank That Fits in a Pocket or Wallet and Works Great for iPhone 5/6, Samsung Galaxy, HTC, Nexus and More.THE POWERCARD - A PERFECT COMBINATION OF POWER, SIZE & WEIGHT. Many products claim to be "the world's thinnest, lightest power bank". Usually that just means they don't have enough juice to actually charge your phone enough to use it. If you compare our ratio of weight (60g/2.1oz), to compact size (3.75 x 2.4 x 1/4 inches) to powerful charge (2500 mAh Real Capacity) you will not find a better external battery charger for emergency situations or those days where you need a little extra power.
NO MORE FUSSING AROUND IN YOUR BAG FOR ANNOYING CHARGING CABLES. A portable battery charger is not really portable if you have to also carry the cables that easily break or tangle. Our smartly designed external power bank has a built-in Micro USB and Apple Lightning Cable meaning you have everything need to charge your phone when you need it the most.
NEVER RUN OUT OF BATTERY POWER AGAIN. External battery packs are a great idea in theory, but we found that we never seemed to have them on hand when we needed them the most. To solve this we designed the PowerCard. Our lightweight design means you can always carry the charger with you whether you are out on business, travel or at a restaurant. Our A+ Li-Polymer battery cell (2500 mAh) means that you can depend on the PowerCard to fully charge almost all smartphones.
My opinion:
When given the opportunity to review the PowerCard, I jumped at the chance. I'd been wanting one of the credit card sized chargers. This particular one has extra bonuses also. I love that has the built-in cord to charge your phone on-the-go with no fuss.
Getting everything out of the box and using it was a slow start, as I had trouble following the instructions. Normally I'm not that dense, but I don't know....I had issues. The instruction guide that comes with it has extremely small writing. Once I read it over a couple times, I got the gist.
It's actually incredibly simple to use.
First you charge the PowerCard. Plug the USB cord, microUSB end to the PowerCard and USB end into the computer or attached to a wall charger adapter. You will see a red light while it is charging. Mine takes a couple hours to fully charge. Once the light turns blue, it's done and ready to use.
To charge another device, like your cell phone, you pull out the blue built-in cable from the side, and plug that microUSB into your phone. The light turns blue while it is charging your phone and goes off when done.
I get a full charge from dead to almost full before the light goes out. The product is advertised to have 2600 mAH and that alone means absolutely nothing to me. In the manual they actually address that you really end up getting around 1800 mAH. That is the same with most hard drives, or transferring devices. At least this company is honest and tells you that right in the manual. I appreciate the honesty.
As a consumer, I'm more concerned for how many times can I charge my phone with it, instead of a mAH number. From my using this a couple of times now, its been pretty much a one charge deal. While I'm at work using my phone, I will need to practically constantly charge my phone because of being very active on it. The PowerCard helps so I can re-charge it without being attached to the computer or wall while it charges. We will also be taking this with us to theme parks, as my phone never ever lasts a full day at the theme park. While you are waiting in line, you play on your phone and it gets drained so easily.
There's no power switch, or motor, or exhaust so you don't have to worry about any of that. Watch the heat of the product, because you never want to have a battery in extreme temperatures, but you it can by placed flush up against the phone with no problems.
This product did include an Apple Lightning adapter and can be stored right into the PowerCard underneath the blue cord. (I'd almost forgot to mention because I use a Samsung) No loose parts to have to carry around with you which is nice.
I absolutely love the convenience of this product. It really is as small as a credit card and can fit right into your wallet.
The communication that I've had with the company left me feeling very reassured about the product and their high level of customer service.
Check them out. Buy it on Amazon
