TiffsPixieDust: Kitchen Mastery Silicone Grill Gloves Review

I would like to share a product that I find unique and fun. I've recently been introduced to Kitchen Mastery's Silicone Grill Gloves. They are made of silicone and are heat resistant up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

The silicone is BPA-free and FDA approved. They are perfectly safe to have around the food you are cooking on the grill.

Out of the box

Very simple, cardboard box, containing the gloves that were enclosed in plastic. No need for special packaging or did it have any small parts, etc.

Design / Aesthetics

With this product, I fell in love with the design first and foremost. I mean, when you see that they are made of silicone and feel so cool. They are rather heavy, so even though they have a little hole that you could use for hanging, it doesn't exactly work for my current method of hanging my oven mitts. (which is a magnetic hook that I have hanging from my stove hood) I had to find a different home for these. If you look closely, you can see that the pattern is little hearts, which I find absolutely adorable. You can see in the pic here, I got in real close.

Put it to use

The design is one size fits most. I happen to have incredibly small hands, so they fit loosely.

It has been a crazy rainy season here, therefore, I haven't grilled in a while, however I did put these to use for taking stuff out of the oven. The silicone material makes for a good grip. I did attempt to pick something up that was wet, to see if it would be slippery and was pleasantly surprised that it gripped without slipping. The obvious use for these would be to grab hot pans or food as an oven mitt, but you could also use to open jars or to grab hold of something you are having a hard time grasping, taking advantage of it's gripping action. My daughter wants to use them for everything.

The big difference between these and an oven mitt is the five fingers. It makes it so much easier to grab and grip what you want.

When taking a piping hot pan out of the oven with them, I did feel the heat through the glove slightly but was enough to burn. The heat did not effect the silicone in any way.
