About the product: (from their site)
Poptillas™ contain up to 25% less fat than the leading tortilla chips because they are popped instead of fried.
My opinion: I was sent a bag of each to review. There are three flavors: Nacho Cheese, Salsa Verde, and Yellow Corn.
The chips themselves are a different texture than regular chips. They are "popped", so they look puffy kinda like cheetos. That gives them a light crunch. You don't have to worry about them being fried, and that means a healthier chip. My kids and I tried them and I got rave reviews.
Nacho Cheese: This was my daughter's favorite. She normally sticks to plain chips, so I was suprised that she liked these but she ate a bunch of these. I liked the flavor too, just enough flavor.
Salsa Verde: This one had mixed reviews. My daughter wanted no part of it. My son loved it. There is a bit of spice to it. I did enjoy the flavor, but maybe there was a little too much of the flavor powder on them for me. I rubbed off a little before eating and then loved them. My son is already asking me to buy some of this flavor for him.
Yellow Corn: This one is good and the most comparable to a basic tortilla chip. The taste is a bit bland, but that worked great for dipping in salsa. That's what I used the Yellow Corn for, I dipped in some medium salsa and the chip held it's own. It didn't break or fall apart.
Overall, we really enjoyed this new line of Classic Foods chips. They continue to keep coming up with more varieties and I love it.If you haven't tried any of their other flavors, I would recommend you do so.
You can buy them online on Amazon.
