I've been introduced to a new Apple App called OfferUp. Because I don't have any I-products, I can't use it and wish I had an iPhone, but if you do have one, you should check it out. With this app, you simply take a picture of the item you are wanting to sell and post it up for sale. Through the app, others can contact you to buy it. There are safety measures in place to maintain anonymity, if you'd like your information protected and it looks so simple to use.
Here is some info from the company to tell you a little more about it.
With a focus on making selling as simple as snapping a picture, OfferUp is a mobile marketplace that makes it simple for busy families to quickly buy and sell gently-used items in a safe and hassle-free environment. OfferUp combines the best elements of existing online marketplaces – buyers can get good deals from sellers looking to turn unused items into cash – with a new mobile approach focused on personal safety.
- OfferUp’s “Snap and Tap” iPhone mobile app snaps a picture and posts gently-used items for sale in under one minute.
- Items are immediately posted to OfferUp’s mobile marketplace and website without ever needing to connect to a PC.
- Sellers have the option to easily share the listing on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or send an email to individuals or groups.
- OfferUp TruYouƤ member program lets both buyers and sellers provide information that validates their identities.
- In-app private messaging keeps identities completely anonymous until buyers and sellers decide to share private information.
- OfferUp’s photo-based shopping interface makes it easy for potential buyers to discover nearby deals that are relevant to their interests and lifestyle.
- OfferUp informs people of how quickly a person responds – anywhere from within an hour to more than 48 hours.
OfferUp has offered to give away a $50 Gift Card to one of my readers just for trying out this app from the App Store. (It's free to download) Sorry, only for Apple products.

It is a cool app but I dont think I could keep up on it...
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of things that I need to post for sale and a lot that I have posted. This will make it easier. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty cool, I will have to play around with it for a bit.
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting and seems to be easy to use, which is paramount. I noticed it's not available for iPad which is certainly less convenient, but I'd bet they're developing that. We are currently preparing for a big move and will have lots of furniture and household goods to sell. It will be very handy to have OfferUp to help!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
