0 Heelys Review
I've seen Heelys everywhere and have always been curious how easy they'd be to use. If you aren't aware, Heelys are a sneaker that can transform into a skate (of sorts) by inserting a wheel into the heel. Kids are really into them and I can see the intrigue.
I was lucky enough to be a part of a promotion to receive a pair of Heelys to review. My first instinct is that I want them for myself but luckily my daughter is now in the same size shoe as me so we can share them. I have miniature feet and wear a size 3 in children's, so that's right....me and my 8 year old wear the same size.
For the purposes of this review, that works out great for me because as it turns out, I have no coordination whatsoever. I tried them on and they were a little snug. The shoes can be worn with our without the wheels attached. I walk with them just fine without the wheels and they are very stylish. I picked a pink and grey design and they are kinda like skater shoes.
They were difficult to walk with the wheels in and I had even more difficulty trying to roll in them. My family had so much fun laughing at me though. My hubby is always making fun of my small feet and said that maybe I'm just not coordinated because my tiny feet are trying to balance all my weight. He thinks he is funny :)
Needless to say, I passed the Heelys on to my daughter. She picked it up easier than me, but doesn't quite have it down pat yet. She wears them everyday, but doesn't always bring the wheels with her. Check out this video of her trying to stay upright. She's so cute!
Now my son wants a pair and he is going through one of those crazy growth spurts, so when it slows down a little bit, and he sticks in a shoe size for more than a month, he'll be getting his own pair too.
Stop by and say hello on Facebook and Twitter.
