My take on it:

I got these insoles for my husband because my feet are in a child's size and that wasn't an option for these. He complains about back pain, aches and pains all over from his work, as it is very labor intensive.
I ordered the size Large because he wears a size 10.

Out of the package, the first thing you notice is that these insoles are hard. There is no cushion or gel to them at all. The purpose is to provide orthodic support for the arch of the foot. These are very much different from the insoles that I am used to that are cushioned.

I attemped to put them into his favorite sneakers, and they were too large. Luckily, these are designed to be trimmed to fit. There are even marks along the toe line to assist you with where to cut. Use regular scissors and cut until it's a nice fit. It only took one try for me and they fit great into the sneakers. We then tried them in his work shoes and the fit was nice there too. No additional trimming needed.

His first impression was not good. He had already made his mind up that he wouldn't like them because they had no cushion. I encouraged him to wear them for a while and tell me how he feels anyway.

I'm glad I persisted, because he says they actually do provide a nice arch support. He does wish they had more cushion to them but likes that his foot is supported around the arch of his foot, which provides an amount of stability that surprised him. His mood about these orthodics has been changed from skeptical to pleased.

......and they are still in his work shoes that he continues to wear to work.
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
