0 Julienne Peeler & Vegetable Peeler Review

I've been introduced to a peeler from Nikkouware that is multi-purpose. You can not only peel vegies with it, but peel it in julienne style. This peeler has stainless steel blades that are extremely sharp. This makes for effortless peeling of potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, apples, etc.
Out of the box, the peeler is very sturdy and has some weight to it. Typically, you'd have the end of the peeler with the sharp edge, but with this one, there are two different blades. The one is the vegetable peeler, but it's not your typical straight edge. It has small grooves to give it a little texture. The other blade is for julienne style. It not only cuts an even slice width-wise, but in even strips giving it a julienne effect. These can be used as a healthy alternative to noodles. If you haven't heard about this craze, you julienne cut cucumbers, etc and use that as your pasta with adding in tomatoes, sauce, seasonings instead of using pasta. It's actually very yummy. I make a sort of pasta salad with the main ingredient being julienne cut cucumbers.
There are also stainless steel cut-outs on the side that are great for gouging out the knobs on potatoes.
Cleanup is easy, I rinse it and use a brush to clean it or I just toss it in the dishwasher. It is rustproof and corrosion free as long as you maintain it properly.
Please take care when using to watch your hands and fingers as the blades are very sharp, especially with small vegetables. Keep that in mind when storing as well.
