0 Breakstones Greek Style Sour Cream Review

As the holidays approach and party menus get underway, many will look for new, better-for-you versions of their token holiday favorites. Just in time for the busiest cooking weeks, BREAKSTONE’S has released the first-ever new-to-market nationally released Greek Style Sour Cream that features the smooth, creamy texture and deliciously rich taste of traditional BREAKSTONE’S Sour Cream blended with authentic Greek strained yogurt.
"BREAKSTONE’S Greek Style Sour Cream contains 50% less fat, 40% less cholesterol, and twice the calcium and protein of regular sour cream (each 2 Tbsp. serving has 4% of the daily value for calcium and 2 grams of protein)."
I got the opportunity to try out the new Greek Style Sour cream and I love the smooth flavor. it gives it a rich taste that I was not expecting. I prefer the greek style over regular sour cream hands down. I didn't realize how much I like the new flavor, until I tried regular sour cream after. Lovin the new one.
As you can see above in the pics, I like to use it as a dip and my favorite thing to dip is quesadillas. I use a little sour cream and a little sauce, and dip between the two. You can use it for much more than that though. Substitute sour cream into your favorite recipes also. One dish that is a huge hit in our family that we make with sour cream is beef stroganoff / swedish meatballs, depending on how I want to incorporate the meat. It's so easy to make and the kids absolutely love it.

Bottom line is I like the new flavor in this sour cream and when I am standing in the dairy section of the store, facing regular and greek style sour cream, I will be choosing the greek style. It's my new favorite. I have some holiday food stuff planned and I will be incorporating it into that as well. I encourage you to check it out next time you are shopping.
