We cherish our babies and treat their skin as gently as possible. I love the softness of baby's skin. There are problems that come up throughout their baby-hood that cause discomfort and you as a parent want to fix right away. A couple of common conditions that happen to babies is eczema and cradle cap.
You may or may not have heard about these conditions or have had to deal with them first hand with your own little one. Excema is a skin condition that causes a dry, itchy rash. It usually runs in families and sometimes the baby will outgrow it. Cradle Cap is a condition where excess oil causes a flaky, crusty layer on top of a baby's head which can also cause irritation.
I personally have dealt with cradle cap with both of my children. It's harmless enough but is persistent. It's been quite a few years, but I just dealt with it with home remedy treatments, and now wish I would have seeked out a product to buy that could help me deal with it.
Gentle Naturals is a company that sells products that helps with both cradle cap and excema.
I received a sample of their products to review. For excema, they offer a wash to use in the baby's bath and a cream to apply directly onto the area. For cradle cap, they offer treatment in a lotion that you apply to the scalp, massage in and use the attached brush to help loosen the cradle cap. I opened up each and applied to my own skin to test out greasiness and smell. The Excema Relief wash is in a 5.5 fl oz bottle. You pour a few capfuls into the baby's bath. The product is a body wash consistency.
The product is a very thick cream. You have to work at it, but it does rub into the skin nicely.
All three products are Paraben-free, Dye-free and Fragrance-Free. They contain natural ingredients and are made to sooth a baby's gentle skin.
