Tropical Traditions  keeps me coming back to their wonderful products. Through coconut oil based products, they offer a healthier and organic approach to a wide variety of things, such as cooking supplies, household products, beauty products, and so much more. Today, I bring you their line of hair oils that have a rich aroma and high quality results.

Tropical Traditions has formulated three different hair oils using our organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil along with other high quality organic oils known to nourish hair. Along with the base of organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, we included organic jojoba oil, organic macadamia nut oil, organic rosehip oil, organic shea butter, and organic carrot seed oil in each formulation. Two of the formulations are scented with the highest quality organic essential oils available, imported from France: Rosemary and Lavender. There are no other ingredients besides these high quality organic oils: NO SILICONES, NO SULFATES, and NO ALCOHOLS.

Ingredients: organic jojoba, organic Gold Label Standard Virgin Coconut Oil, organic macadamia nut oil, organic rosehip oil, organic shea butter, and organic carrot seed oil. Rosemary also contains organic rosemary essential oil and Lavender contains organic lavender essential oil.

You may already be using some type of hair oil or are just now considering it. I've just started using it recently. In the past, I'd always steered away from it because of my naturally oily nature of my hair. I just couldn't understand why I could have oily hair but still have crazy frizz. Now that I've started using hair oil, I've noticed a big difference in the way my hair manages overall.

The hair oil that I received has a rosemary scent. The scent reminds me of bath salts that I was given for a gift a few years ago. Needless to say, I love the scent. It is very calming. The bottle is 8 fl oz and that is enough hair oil to last me a super long time, considering I only use a tiny bit for my hair at a time. (I have shoulder length hair)

Suggested Uses:

For dry scalp: Rub into hair and scalp at least 30 minutes before showering, or before bed at night. Wear a shower cap or towel to protect bedding.

As a conditioner: As a deep conditioner, work through scalp and hair before washing. Leave in for 15 minutes to overnight. For a leave-in conditioner, work a small amount through wet hair before styling and drying.

Shine Serum: Rub a small amount in the palms of your hands and gently run over dry hair. Scrunch for curly hair or rake for straight hair.

 What I do is blow dry my hair, working in just a little bit of oil, not enough to leave your hair gleaming or anything, but enough that it keeps the frizz down. As I blow dry it, my hair gets straightened, so I don't have to do anything extra. As I go about my day, my hair usually gets annoying and unmanageable. It goes straight up in a pony tail. On the days that I use the hair oil, I do notice that my hair doesn't get crazy like that as quickly and it stays straight which is a huge plus for me.
