I received a copy of this CD to review. On our car trips, we pop it into the CD player. My daughter is 8 and very into music. She absolutely loves this CD, especially the songs sung by children around her age. The range of music is vast. One of my favorites is sung by a 7 year old (Frank Sinatra's You Make Me Feel So Young) My daughter's favorite is Fergie's Glamorous and Rihanna's SOS. I think they are her favorites because she recognizes them from the radio.

The first Star Rock for Kids! CD features 18 songs from all the decades including: S.O.S. (Rihanna), Holiday (Madonna), It’s a Beautiful Life (Ace of Base), Girlfriend (Avril Levigne), Makes Me Wonder (Maroon 5), You Make Me Feel So Young (Frank Sinatra), If I Can’t have You (Yvonne Elliman,), and L-O-V-E (Nat King Cole).

My point of view is that there are a few songs that I prefer to be sang by young voices and others make me want to find and listen to the original because of memories that are attached to those songs. This is definitely geared more toward kids and hopefully will inspire kids to want to include more music in their life. I think that it's important and I like that this CD opens our kids up to music that they wouldn't normally listen to.
Lisa Damiani and eOne plan on releasing two new Star Rock for Kids! CD’s per year and your child can be featured. Once you buy the CD, there is an application inside that gives you the chance for your child to be on a future CD. That could be their big break.
