0 L'Oréal® Review

I was given the chance to try out L'Oréal® Paris The One Sweep™ Eye Shadow and Double Extend™ Eye Illuminator Mascara. The most important part of doing my makeup are the eyes. I tried out both of these to give my eyes a new make-up experience.

I don't wear makeup every single day and that is in part because of the time it takes to do it.  The time that I spend doing it is usually focused on my eyes. I've gotten to the point now, where I do not wear makeup at work but I will at home and when going out.
I have always liked L'Oreal products and regard them highly. I was sent one each of the One Sweep eye shadow and the Eye Illuminator mascara. Here are my honest opinions:

L'Oréal® Paris The One Sweep™ Eye Shadow:
This is designed to coordinate with your own eye color. I have brown eyes and received #519 "Playful for brown eyes". When I first opened it, I have to honest, I was nervous because I usually go with natural and brown tones. This looks like purple-ish. The design concept of this is the selling point. It has the three levels of color, from dark for the bottom to light for the top, there is a specially shaped brush that you just only need One Sweep to apply to your eyelids. My initial worries was that I would mess it up and have to wash it off to re-apply to get my desired effect. I'm pleased to say that with both eyelids it was literally one sweep each way with the brush and voila! The colors didn't even translate purple either. I love the effect that it made and only took a few seconds to apply. One concern that I do have is that I had to wash the applicator after, or else the colors will blend together over time and you won't get that layered look that it's designed for. Another plus is there is a mirror in it so you can apply on-the-go.

Double Extend™ Eye Illuminator Mascara:
This is also designed to coordinate with your own eye color. I received #440 Black that Illuminates brown eyes. It has two separate applicators built in, one on each side. Because of that, the tube is bigger around than the mascara that I'm used to. The first step is the Lengthener that is black with a hint of color. It adds volume and length to lashes while intesifying eyes. Application itself was a little odd because of the shape of the applicator, but by the time I was on to step 2, I was already comfortable with it. The second step is a top coat with light-reflecting pearls that highlights your eye color. The shape of the second applicator is interesting because it has a sphere of bristles on it. At first as I was applying, it didn't seem like it was going on, because you are putting it over the black. When I looked from my mirror and back, the light was shifted and I could see the shiny specks in the mascara. What a fun added highlight.

Combining the eye shadow and the mascara, I am very pleased with the result. I urge you to try them out as well.
