"In 2008, ChicoBag™ introduced trademarked rePETe™ products as part of an evolving effort to reduce our environmental impact. rePETe™ is a term we use to help our customers identify which ChicoBag™ brand products are made using recycled content. Every product with the rePETe™ logo is manufactured using recycled materials. Our rePETe™ products bring us one step closer to providing consumers with a closed loop solution. They are available in many different styles. I had such a hard time choosing which one I wanted because they all have so many great qualities to them. Here's some that really caught my eye:
ChicoBag™ is now an industry leader in the compact reusable bag movement and a leading innovator of fashionable, lightweight, bags and packs that can be easily stuffed into an integrated pouch. ChicoBag™ delivers a wide array of reusable bags that are meant to deliver solutions to every lifestyle. Our commitment to the environment drives us to provide a trusted brand and a portfolio of quality products aimed at helping humanity solve the environmental challenges ahead."
I went with the sling design in the Flourish Collection.
Materials: Fabric 100% Recycled PET, Carabiner 97% Recycled Aluminum, Cord 100% Recycled PET, Cordlock 100% Recycled Polyurethane
Dimensions: Bag 13.5" x 14.5" Pouch 4" x5.5" (approximately)
Washing: Wash cold and hang dry.
The Chicobag is suprisingly sturdy. The material appears very thin but can handle whatever you need to carry. The bag itself is also much larger than I expected. That's an added bonus. It is a sling design so I can sling it across and go. I like bags like that so you don't have to worry about them falling off your shoulder or leaving grooves in your forearm. That's especially handy when you have to juggle multiple things or have a little one to care after.
(I put the wipes box in there to help show the size)It's amazing how you learn to literally juggle when you become a parent. It has a built-in pouch that you can tuck the entire bag into the pouch and a drawstring to keep it snugly shut. Once in it's pouch, it's quite petite and you can hook it onto your purse, stroller, or other grocery bags with a caribiner that is attached.
That's the amazing thing about the lightweight design is that you get the best of both worlds, a sturdy bag that can carry what you need and it being light enough to fit into a tiny pouch. I've used mine for groceries, taking my work stuff with me (lunch, paperwork, my current book that I'm reading, notebooks, etc) and also for my gym clothes that I bring to work and aspire to work out on my lunch break but rarely ever do.
I enjoy my bag so much and found it so versatile that I use it in my daily routine.
One lucky reader will win their own Chicobag Sling (pictured below)
