0 Trading Phrases Review and Giveaway Ends 02-07

I have a new favorite thing....wall decals! Trading Phrases has a wide selection of wall decals that are easy to apply and look great on your walls. Whether you are looking for inspirational quotes, funny sayings, beautiful designs or want to custom make your own, they have it.

The hardest part of the whole process was choosing which one I wanted to put on my walls. I went through every page up-teen times and finally narrowed it down to a customized design and put my family name on it. These are some others that I absolutely love....

Butterfly & Blossom Branch | Wall Decals
As I was going through their selection, I was picturing each one on my own walls and I started thinking about home improvement and painting the walls. The ideas started flowing. What I could put in my kids rooms, the colors I should use. Now I am pumped to start decorating!

I got the wonderful opportunity to sample a decal on my own wall courtesy of Trading Phrases. I chose a decorative design and have my family's name put on it.  If you find the decal that you want, you have the option to choose the size you want for it. The one that I chose was Family Name Fun Frame | Wall Decals #CUS126 in Size - 30 in x 18 in, so it is a pretty good size. It came in a long tube that protected it from being damaged.

I have a vault ceiling in my living area, so decided to put it up there between two AC vents. The space could use a little personality and this decal was just the right thing for it. That of course meant getting the ladder out and trying not to fall off while I put the decal up there. It was a bunch of climbing up and down to make sure it looked even. Once I got it just right, I used masking tape along the top and pulled off the back paper. Using the burnishing tool you slowly rub in the decal so that it attaches to the wall. I took my time making sure it was even all around. Then, you pull the top paper away to leave the decal attached to the wall. I did that slowly also so that I wouldn't create any bubbles or peel any off the wall.
I was suprised at how evenly it applied. I was fully expecting to have to go back over it and get air bubbles out or have pieces not attach properly, especially with the middle area that is solid black. It turned out great and I only had to even out a couple of spots with that little tool.

It looks perfect. I couldn't have asked for it to turn out any better. Now I want to get more and put in other rooms.
