0 *Closed*Legacy Family Tree Review and Giveaway
Congrats to the winner Janet Faye with comment number 27!
Legacy Family Tree is a Genealogy database program that you can input your family information and chart them into a Family Tree.
I've been looking for a program that I can make my own family tree and this program was exactly what I needed. The main component of entering your information in was simple. You just click each block to update it and can go back easily. This is not a research program, however they do offer a lot of helpful links to assist you with what you want to find and it also lets you put them into a task list so that you don't forget anything.
The research is where you'll spend a lot of your time.
Once you get your information entered, you can make these very cool charts. There are 18 different ones. The Fan option is very interesting. You can even choose it to be circular and work it's way from the center. You can even make a slideshow CD.
Here's a few examples of the charting possibilities:
I have limited information for my family, so I'm spending a lot of time researching but I love the program and will continue to map my family tree as my research continues.
You can download the free version to try it out if you'd like.

0 Giveaway - Robi Comb - Ends
I know that no one wants to think about lice or their kids getting it. I'm sure your head is starting to itch at the thought of lice as you are reading this. LOL
Here's a product that is new to me and to be honest, I have not tried it but would love to have it in case of a lice situation. I've read around about it and it looks like it works really well.
It is called the Robi Comb and is sold by a company called LiceGuard.
From their website:
Robi Comb detects and destroys lice on contact simply by combing it through dry hair. When the electronic Robi Comb touches lice, they get zapped, die and are combed out of the hair.
In addition, while lice have been reported to be building up a resistance to pesticides used in other lice treatments, lice cannot become resistant to the Robi Comb treatment.
This means you don't have to use any chemicals or treatments on your child's hair.
Also with the chemicals, lice are known to build up a resistence to them and with this, they cannot become resistant to the Robi Comb treatment.
It's cost effective, as it retails for $24.95 through their site and it can be used over and over again, unlike other treatments.
Want to win one for yourself?
Mandatory Entry: Simple, just comment on this post letting me know you want to win this. Please leave me a way to contact you if you win.
Bonus entries:
- Follow me on Google Friend Connect by clicking on Follow on the left sidebar (2 entries)
- Follow me on Twitter (1 entry)
That's a total of 4 entries possible into this giveaway.
I will pick the winner via Random.org on 11-08-10 23:59 ET. The winner will have 48 hours to respond, unless another winner will be selected.
I am not receiving any compensation for doing this review. The purposes of this review are to spread the word about a great product and give my awesome readers a chance to win it. Thank you to Robi-Comb for sponsoring.
0 Milano Moments: Susan G Komen Support
I love all of the support that I see going to this great cause. I'm seeing pink everywhere and I love it.
Pepperidge Farms is joining in on the cause with a donation incentive "Milano Moment", encouraging you to share your moment through their facebook page.
When someone posts a personal Milano Moment on Milano's Facebook Page in October, Pepperidge Farm will donate $.50 per Moment up to $50,000.
That is fantastic! You can do something very simple and help the cause. I've done it and you should too. My Milano moment is when you get home from work, throw your feet up, open up a package of cookies and it melts in your mouth, it tastes so good. I'd like a Milano cookie right now, as a matter of fact. LOL
Thanks for visiting me today!
I did not receive any compensation for this review. I'm spreading the word about a great program on behalf of Pepperidge Farms through the One2One Network

0 K T Tunsall New CD - Tiger Suit
The time has come! She has come out with a new CD. It's titled Tiger Suit, released on Oct. 4th.
Biography via Amazon.com: KT Tunstall has had a recurring dream since she was a child. She sees a tiger in her garden and goes outside to stroke it. She returns indoors and is seized by the fear that she could have been killed. Over the years, it has occurred to her that the reason the tiger responds so passively is that she herself is disguised as a tiger. That she is wearing a tiger suit.
I love each song on there. It's a little different than her previous stuff, with a little more edge. My favorite track is "Glamour Puss". The very first song is “Uummannaq Song,” which actually reminds me of Fiona Apple a lot. (which I am a huge fan of) Another noteable song is "Come on, Get in" which reminds me of the classic "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" which we have all grown to love.
My opinion is that I love it. It's not a huge change from what she did before and I don't know how many tracks are poppy enough to be radio played but I am a fan and will be playing it over and over in my house, on my blackberry, in my car, you name it!

0 Closed - StaphAseptic Review and Giveaway Ends 10-29-10 - Closed
Contest is closed: Amy was chosen as our winner with comment:
I would like to win! We had a scary episode of arm infection due to staph, this ointment sounds great to have in every home's 1st aid kit!
We deal with our fair share of boo-boos here with two kids. I've recently come accross this product StaphAseptic and was eager to try it out.
StaphAseptic is for the prevention of skin infections caused by bacteria such as MRSA and other germs.
What is MRSA? MRSA Staphylococcus Aureus, also refererd to as Staph. There are certain types of Staph that are resistent to antiobiotics.
StaphAseptic kills 99.9% of antibiotic resistent staph (MRSA). Other treatments such as triple antibiotic ointment are not effective against staph.
Note this is not a treatment or cure for any existing infection, but a prevention of such. You should use StaphAseptic as part of your first aid process when caring for new cuts, scrapes, etc.
Here's some tips of what you can also be doing to prevent bacterial infections:
- Treating and covering wounds
- Don't share personal items like towels, soap and razors
- Showering after physical activity
- Properly clean all athletic equipment and gear
- Keeping hands clean
If you'd like to try it out, here's a coupon:
I'll pick my the winner via Random.org 10-29-10 23:59 hours. The winner will have 48 hours to respond, otherwise another winner will be picked.

0 Costume Discounters Review
Now for the good stuff…..my daughter chose the Child Stitch Witch Costume, which is solid black. It came with the dress, hat, and belt. It retails on their site for $31.97. I plan to dress it up with some black shoes, black tights, and a broom.
This is my first time buying a costume online, so was leary of what to expect. I was worried that I’d get a WalMart type costume , but was pleasantly surprised. This costume is adorable. I’m including a pic into this post so you can see for yourself just how cute it is. It’s made from strong material and could easily be worn over again. We pass costumes along to other moms and another little girl will be so lucky to wear this again next year.
I did receive this costume for review purposes and did not receive any other compensation. The opinions here are my own! I would like to Thank Costume Discounters for this great giveaway opportunity.

0 My Review of 4 Quart Oval Slow Cooker
Originally submitted at CSN Stores
I'm a fan of this product!
Pros: Dishwasher Safe, Easy to Operate
Best Uses: Meats, Soup
Describe Yourself: Casual Cook
I honestly have only great things to say about this crock pot.
My old one was similar in size but more simple and the handles were broken off.
This one is great. I like that it is black in color so it matches things in my kitchen. The size is great for a dinner for four. I made chili and it was just big enough for the whole family to eat and a little went into the fridge for leftovers. I love the handles. They are a little unique and the grip was strange at first, but now I love them because they give me more area to grip than my old crock pot (before the old handles broke off, LOL) I love the "keep warm" setting as that is a new feature for me.
Overall, I love it. Great price, looks great, works great.

0 Chloraseptic Review
It's that time of year again. Kids are back in school and everyone is getting colds. I am always on the lookout for cold medicine that actually works and doesn't taste too much like medicine. I got the opportunity to review the above pictured products and recommend them highly. I am so glad to have them in the cupboard for any sore throats that come our way. When I run out, I'll be sure to go back out and buy more because it's a great product.
They have a wide variety of types and flavors:
Chloraseptic® Sore Throat Lozenges
- Cherry
- Citrus
- Green Tea & Honey
- Honey Lemon
- Total Sugar Free Wild Cherry
- Total Wild Cherry
- Max Wild Berry
- Cherry
- Menthol
- Citrus
- Max Wild Berry
- On-The-Go Cherry
- Throat Spray for Kids
- Grape Relief Strips for Kids
I only tried the citrus and wild berries lozenges but would love to try the others too.
Thank you so much to Chloraseptic for allowing me to review their product. I received no monitary compensation for this review and the opinions here are 100 percent my own.
